In 2018, China's cumulative nuclear power generation was 286.511 billion kwh

Compared with coal-fired power generation, nuclear power generation in 2018 is equivalent to reducing the combustion of standard coal by 88.2454 million tons, carbon dioxide emissions by 231.2029 million tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 750100 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 653000 tons

in terms of nuclear power safety production, all commercial nuclear power plants strictly control the operation risks of units, continue to maintain safe and stable operation, and no operation events of international nuclear event classification (ines) level 1 or above have occurred. Each commercial nuclear power plant has no major or above environmental events, radiation pollution events, fire and explosion accidents, and occupational disease hazard accidents. In accordance with the national environmental protection law on strong anti pollution capacity and environmental radiation monitoring standards, and in accordance with the emission limits approved by the national nuclear safety administration, all commercial nuclear power plants have strictly controlled the emission of radioactive effluents and effectively monitored the surrounding environment of nuclear power plants

2018 environmental monitoring results show that the emissions of radioactive effluents from commercial nuclear power plants are lower than the limits approved by the national nuclear safety administration. The monitoring data shows that the measured ambient air absorbed dose rate is within the normal range of local background radiation level
